Introduction

The Bulgarian Association for Training and Development (BATD) is an association of individuals, involved in research, teaching, consulting and other professional activities in the area of social and personality competencies training for adults. Our purpose is to assist the professional development of our members and promote good practices in our professional area.

The current Code of Ethics reflects our agreement, as members of BATD, to adhere to certain, described below, professional performance standards.

We share the following core values

А) Professionalism Професионализъм

We provide only services within our competence and we adequately present our qualification. We continuously strive to maintain and improve our professional qualification through participation in various training and development activities. In our practice we seek to apply methods and use tools, techniques and approaches, which are based on a clear philosophy, have good theoretical background and are tested in practice.

Б) Respect for the personality Уважение към личността.

We believe that every individual is capable of and naturally strives for development. Our task is to assist everyone in unfolding his/her potential and reach the maximum of the results desired by him/ her. In our practice, we treat users, sponsors, clients and colleagues with understanding and respect, regardless of differences and individual specifics.

В) Integrity Почтеност.

We do not abuse our position in order to influence the development of the users and benefit from the users. In our practice, we clearly state the contribution of other institutions and individuals to the materials, techniques and approaches that we use. We always try to reach a balance between the interests and objectives of the client/ sponsor and the needs of the users of our services.
